Acceptance and change


 Have you all accepted yourself in the battleground of life? Has change become the new normal of your world? 

Acceptance and change go hand in hand but it's never too easy to adopt both. Self acceptance solely sense about being completely aware of the shortcomings and imperfections of your personality while knowing that you are the same worthy and deserving kid who dreamt of achieving heights of success at that early age of 12, the one who was compassionate and kind.

What you feel about the person you see each day in front of the mirror? Are you proud of what that human is growing into?Of course, flaws were never carried away by the sea surge, but pearls on the sand are always found due to the wind-driven waves. 

Humans could definitely be considered as complaint box of life. "I am responsible" is the most uncommon phrase which could hardly be heard. That struggle with acceptance is real, we fight each day with our own inner critic, emotions, thoughts and self-esteem. Accepting our flaws was never easy, it takes a lot of courage to accept what you don't like and then work effectively on it.

The Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) introduced by Steven Hayes encourages people to develop compassion for their unwanted thoughts or feelings.

If we ask for change, then the process firstly involves awareness and then acceptance. The phrase "accept yourself the way you are" was never interpreted rightly. Yes, it asks to accept the flaws we carry but it never moves on to say don't change, instead wearing an accessory of confidence is the need of the hour.
